the chemistry instrumentation center was founded in may 31, 2013. at present, the center owns 30 suits of large-scale instruments, such as nuclear magnetic resonance (nmr) spectrometer, electron microscope, mass spectrometer and x-ray analyzer, with the gross value ofmore than 50,000,000 yuan. we mainly focus on the qualitative, quantitative and structural analysis of organic and inorganic compounds, the analysis of crystallization characteristic and thermodynamic properties of materials, and microstructural analysis of materials through five branch centers, e.g. magnetic resonance branch center, chromatograph and mass spectrometry branch center, electron microscopic branch center, x-ray and spectral branch center and thermal analysis branch center.
Experimental Animal Platform

Laboratory Animal Center of Zhejiang University is located in the Zijingang campus as an important public service platform. The current four-story building has an area of 7500-squaremeter, including opens /barriers animal rearing rooms and experimental facilities. It can be used for the care and feeding of animals (rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, miniature pigs, dogs, monkeys etc.) and laboratory services. It also can provide all kinds of experimental research and analytical testing platform, such as comparative medicine, basic research of experimental animal and animal's quality testing etc. Transgenic Animal Laboratory and GLP laboratory (has passed the National Certification) are features of the center. Currently multiple experiments can be completed within the center.
The main function of the center are experimental animals teaching, training, production and supply, animal experiments and scientific research. It also provides a variety of qualified experimental animals on-campus and off-campus. In line with national standards of facilities mission, the center accepts animals rearing and experiments, and carry out a variety of animal research and basic research. In recent years, the introduction of transgenic mice has some characteristics of easy to carry infectious diseases. With the popularization and application of transgenic mice, the center launched the introduction of transgenic mice, isolation and quarantine, microbiological quality testing, biological purification and conservation etc.
Agrobiological & Environmental Platform

The Analysis Center of Agrobiology and Environmental Sciences（ACAES） of Zhejiang University owns 70 suits of large instruments and equipments, such as UPLC-QTOF-MS, HPLC-MS-MS, GC-MS-MS, LC-ICP-MS, X-ray diffractometer, Ultra-high resolution mass spectrometer, MAIDI-TOF-TOF, High-throughput DNA sequencing system, Flow cytometry, Transmission electron microscope, Field emission scanning electron microscope, Laser scanning confocal microscope, with the total value of 90 million Yuan. ACAES consists of Physical and Chemical Analysis Lab, Bio-macromolecules Analysis Lab, Bio-ultrastructure Analysis lab and owns the qualification of CMA. ACAES supports the researh needs of agronomy sciences, environmental sciences, animal sciences, biomedical science, food sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, nano-materials and other disciplines, redarding to analysis and testing on organic and inorganic compounds, medicine, nutrition, DNA sequencing, proteomics, cell ultrastructure. Additionally, related technical training and technical advisory are provided.
Medical Service Platform

Core Facilities, Zhejiang University School of Medicine(CFZSM) was established in December 2010. Currently, there are nine sub-platforms: biochemical and molecular medicine sub-platform, histomorphology sub-platform, imaging sub-platform, neuroscience sub-platform, zebra fish sub-platform, China brain bank sub-platform, translational medicine sub-platform, bioinformatics sub-platform and protein purification sub-platform. CFZSM not only has nearly 100 large equipments, but also has professional technicians and advanced online booking system, with total value of nearly 90 million yuan.
Large instruments include laser confocal microscopy, spinning disc confocal microscopy, two-photon microscopy, super resolution microscopy (SIM, STORM), multicolor flow cytometry, flow cytometry, air-excited flow sorter, and so on. The main work types in CFZSM include Instrumental analysis technical service, Experimental operation technical service, biological sample processing and management services and student training service.

The electron microscope center of Zhejiang university was officially established in the 2012 with a total investment of 45 million. Since its establishment, as a large-scale service sharing platform, the Center has served for all the departments of school as well as the enterprises and institutions in the society.At present, the Centre is in possession of large-scale instruments and equipments as follows:Spherical aberration electron microscope TITAN ChemiSTEM, environmental transmission electron microscope H-9 500,field emission transmission electron microscope TECNAI G2 F 20,focusable beam micro nano machining instrument Quanta 3D FEG, field emission scanning electron microscope SU- 70,Tungsten filament scanning electron microscope S-3700N, field emission scanning electron microscope (SIRION-100) and X ray diffractometer (X ray diffractometer) XPERT PRO, among which, field emission transmission electron microscope F20,field emission scanning electron microscope SU- 70, and X- ray diffractometer X’Pert PRO are operating in full load. The uptime of external service of each of the three instruments is about 1, 500 hours and serve more than 1, 000 people each year.The uptime of other electron microscope equipment each year is also more than 400-800 hours.According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 500 SCI papers published every year using the data provided by the instruments of our center, which won many competitions, such as the microstructure of electron microscope and so on.
High-Performance Computing Platform

Located in Yuquan Campus, High-Performance Computing Platform usea multi-node and high density blade server with shared power, cooling, networking and management infrastructure to support extraordinary simplicity, flexibility and upgradeability. Using the modular architecture and the redundant design, the system offers a variety of network interfaces and a high capacity solution to fully implement a large amount of RAS features. The server delivers the high performance and reliability for high-end carrier or enterprise applications. It is ideal for data center, virtualization, mission-critical service, and high-performance computing.
This server includes nodes system, storage system, NSS network subsystem, electrical power generating system, etc. There are 10 computing nodes totally, and each computing node is configured with 32 cores and 64 G memory. It has been installed with FDTD Solution software and COMSOL software, which suitable for complex and high-performance parallel computing including three dimensional electromagnetic simulations and multi-physical computing simulations.
